Riyadh Air has officially launched its sonic brand, “Sound of a New Era,” as part of its preparations for its inaugural flights scheduled for later this year. This initiative represents a significant step in the airline's strategy to create a unique auditory experience for travelers, integrating elements of Saudi cultural heritage into its branding.
The sonic identity was crafted at the iconic Abbey Road Studios and features contributions from both Saudi and international artists. The composition was performed by a live orchestra, including members of the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir, which adds an authentic touch to the brand's musical narrative. Osamah Alnuaiser, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Riyadh Air, emphasized that the sound embodies the airline's commitment to providing a memorable travel experience, stating, “At Riyadh Air, we believe that a journey is more than just reaching a destination; it’s about the experience itself.”
The sonic brand will be integrated across various passenger interactions, including boarding announcements, in-flight entertainment, and cabin ambiance, enhancing the overall travel experience. The soundscape is designed to resonate with travelers, creating a sensory journey that reflects Riyadh Air's vision of modern luxury intertwined with rich cultural narratives.
In addition to its sonic branding efforts, Riyadh Air is also focusing on sustainability. In November 2024, the airline signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Aramco to explore collaborations in low-carbon fuel supply and other sustainable practices. As part of its fleet expansion strategy, Riyadh Air has ordered 60 A321neo aircraft and plans to incorporate advanced digital solutions in partnership with Boeing to streamline operations and improve flight performance.
As Riyadh Air approaches its launch date, further details regarding seating designs and onboard services are expected to be announced soon, promising an innovative travel experience that aligns with global standards while honoring Saudi traditions.
