flynas, the leading low-cost airline in the Middle East, has recently taken significant steps to expand its operations and enhance its service offerings. The airline has received its second Airbus A320neo aircraft in 2025, which arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
This delivery is part of a larger expansion plan that includes receiving over 100 aircraft in the next five years, with the goal of growing the fleet to 160 aircraft by 2030.
In preparation for the increased travel demand during Ramadan, flynas has boosted its seat capacity for both domestic and international flights to approximately 1.5 million seats.
This represents a substantial increase from the previous year when the airline offered 1.2 million seats during Ramadan, marking a 25% growth in capacity.
As part of its expansion strategy, flynas has also introduced a new route between Madinah and Karachi, Pakistan. Starting from March 5, 2025, the airline will operate two weekly direct flights on this route.
This new service aims to facilitate travel for pilgrims and visitors to the holy mosques in Mecca and Madinah, aligning with the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP).
The airline's growth initiatives are in line with its strategic plan titled "We Connect the World to the Kingdom," which supports Saudi Arabia's National Civil Aviation Strategy.
This strategy aims to connect the Kingdom with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 150 million tourists annually by 2030.
flynas currently operates more than 1,500 weekly flights to over 70 domestic and international destinations. The airline has ambitious plans to expand its network to 165 destinations, supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
With these expansions and fleet additions, flynas is positioning itself as a key player in Saudi Arabia's aviation sector and contributing to the country's goals of becoming a global tourism and travel hub.
